The women in the Keneba village provide sticks or tree stumps and tree branches to fence the garden. The fence has deteriorated with time and needs to be patched up. Most women in Keneba Village are engaged in small-scale agricultural production during the rainy season, growing mainly upland rice and ground nut. Rice is mainly grown for subsistence and ground nuts for generating cash income.
In the dry season, horticulture is the main activity, when they are less productive. They grow mainly vegetables and fruit trees, both for their personal and nutritional needs. The income generated is used to finance the nutritional, educational, and health needs of their families.
