Who we are
Rural-Urban Charitable Association was established by the dynamic youth who are willing and prepared to work on the course of humanitarian relief to assist orphans, widows, and, those affected by disasters such as flood and fire; provides clean drinking water, community garden, education, sponsors poor and needy families.

Our Mission
The Rural Urban Charitable Association (RUCA) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to helping alleviate human suffering through sustainable development projects, building of orphan centers and schools plus general promoting community development. It is particularly dedicate to helping communities help themselves
The Rural-Urban Charitable Association (RUCA) was established to make a difference in people’s lives through programs and projects aimed at restoring hope to those who are less privileged by virtue of birth, health, socioeconomic background and environment; and to help them find fulfilment in life.
Target Groups
- I. Orphans ( including their mothers) and widows
- II. Women, particular those in need
- III. Those who have dropped out of school due to primarily failure to pay school fees;Early Schools Leavers - Girls in Education: special programmes will be designed to give them short courses/training to allow them to establish their own small scale businesses and become self employed and self-reliant.
Our Vision
To become a leading organization in humanitarian relief and development; working to support women and children in education. Create a positive change in the lives of young people in order to be useful and productive in their communities.
Our Aims and Objectives
- I. To break the cycle of poverty by ensuring all children have access to quality education.
- II. Establish orphanage centers and sponsorship programmes.
- III. Provision of clean drinking water for the needy in both the rural and urban areas.
- IV. To organize Iftar (breaking fast) during the month of Ramadan.
- V. To provide Eid ul Adha sacrificial meat for the poor and needy.
- VI. To provide basic nutritious food for the widows, orphans and needy families.
- VII. To embark on income generation activities such as horticultural gardening and rearing of small ruminants.
- VIII. Empowering widows and other guardians of orphans through counseling, literacy and business skills training that will enable them to support their families.
Seasonal Programs
Ramadan
Ramadan is a time of self reflection, piety and blessing. The virtues of the month are many allowing Muslims to join together for the month long period of devotion and worship. Charity is a key during this month. The prophet (PBUH) said the best charity is that given in Ramadan.
Every year with the cooperation of local partners and field officers, Rural Urban Charitable Association (RUCA) will carry out Ramadan programs in different villages in the country.
Orphan, street children, widows, the disabled and other needy persons living below the poverty line will receive Ramadan package to enjoy the beauty of the blessed month.
Qurbani Appeal
Qurbani is part of an essential religious practice that we perform on EID- AL-ADHA (TOBASKI) and the following two days in memory of the sacrifice performed by Prophet Ibrahim. It involves sacrificing an animal (sheep, goat, bull etc.) during the tenth of Dhul- Hijjah or the two days that follow. When our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) was asked ‘…What is Qurban?’ He answered: it is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (AS). For every hair of the Quraban you will receive a reward from Allah and for every hair in the wool you will receive a reward’.
